Our Initiatives

Activities, programs and resources

Our mission is to help create school cultures where every student feels safe, supported and celebrated. We do this by raising awareness and funds for Social-Emotional Learning in Westerville schools, including support for these current initiatives:

Hope Squad

A school-based, peer led suicide prevention program which equips and empowers students to watch out for youth in distress.

Parent Prep

Offering valuable information to parents & guardians of Westerville schoolchildren at all grade levels.


Where Everybody Belongs creates a welcoming culture for new middle school students in Westerville.


Mentors Opening Doors, Enriching Lives pairs middle school girls with local, professional women mentors.

Student Scholarships

WEC each year awards scholarships to one graduate of Westerville Central, North and South high schools.


Meet the certified companion dog trained to give Westerville students a stress break, sponsored by WEC.

Social Emotional Resource Center (SERC)

The WEC Social Emotional Resource Center provides information and assistance that you can access immediately as well as opportunities to build social emotional skills, develop new strengths and increase understanding of our interconnectedness as a community..
