Blendon Middle School, Mark Twain Elementary celebrate World Kindness Day

All of Mark Twain Elementary celebrated World Kindness Day Nov. 13 with kindness T-shirts, building decorations, a photo booth, kindness caroling and positive “pranks” by classes. Staff and students traded kindness bracelets with each other throughout the day.

Meanwhile, counselors Amy Weinrich and Marcia Childs hosted activities during lunch to promote kindness including kindness grams where students could send positive messages to peers and staff and a kindness chain where students wrote kind acts they’ve done on paper links.

First introduced in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement, World Kindness Day offers an opportunity to highlight good deeds in the community and the common thread of kindness.
