Mental Health Village to be featured at 2025 Night of Hope
The Mental Health Village at WEC’s 2025 Night of Hope celebration should be a destination for participants, their backers, and any supporting community members checking out the event.
Westerville Education Challenge’s 4th annual Night of Hope 5K, 1-mile, and Family Fun Run will take place from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at Westerville North’s Jim McCann Stadium. The Night of Hope also offers pre-event fun for the whole family.
Grab a shaved ice treat from our visiting Kona Ice truck, check out the family games, and browse the informational tables in the Mental Health Village set up to feature WEC’s many local Mental Health Partners. Our wonderful Night of Hope sponsor Jet’s Pizza will be at the event, too, serving free pizza to participants and volunteers!
Several community partners will be on hand in the Village, sharing information about locally available mental health resources. WEC’s mental health partners for the 2025 Night of Hope will include:
- The Westerville Public Library
- NAMI Ohio
- Concord Counseling
- The Franklin County Suicide Prevention Coalition
- Starfish Associates
- Good Medicine Productions
- Grief Recovery Method
- Bev Martin Essential Oils
- Nationwide Children’s Hospital
The 5K Walk-Run and 1-mile Walk take place on the beautiful Westerville North High School Cross Country Course, starting and finishing at McCann Stadium, and the free Family Fun Run takes place on the stadium track.
The Night of Hope promotes mental health awareness and celebrates the lives of those we’ve lost to suicide. All the money raised at the event directly supports Westerville Education Challenge’s initiatives in Westerville City Schools, including Hope Squad (at all high schools & middle schools), RoX, WEB (Where Everyone Belongs), Twinkle’s Care, student scholarships.
