First 2024 Parent Prep session is only 1 month away!

The first of two Parent Prep sessions in 2024 is only one month away!

The first Parent Prep opportunity will be held on Saturday, Feb. 10 at Minerva Park Middle School, 4963 Farview Road, Columbus, OH 43231. The second will take place Saturday, March 9, at Westerville Central High School, 7118 Mt. Royal Ave., Westerville, OH 43082.

This is a fantastic and FREE opportunity to learn more about topics that interest you, presented by Westerville City Schools staff and local professionals.

Due to the nature of the content, this event is only for adults.

This year’s Parent Prep has something for parents and caregivers of all-age students.

For all ages, there are sessions on:

  • The 504 Plan Process
  • Talking about Mental Health
  • Operation Street Smart, and
  • QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer)

Some sessions are geared for parents of younger students, such as:

  • A Peaceable Place
  • Emotion Regulation
  • Understanding “new” Math, and
  • What Social Emotional Skills are elementary students learning?

Other sessions target parents/caregivers with older students, such as:

  • Stress and Regulation
  • Social Media/Digital World/Relationship, and
